Marie Curie – The First Woman to win a Noble Prize

In June 1903, Marie was the first woman in Europe to earn a doctorate in physics. In November 1903, Marie Curie and her husband together with Henri Becquere, were awarded Nobel Prize in Physics. The noble prize was for their contributions to the understanding of atomic structure.
